Police say three staff at a waste disposal and recycling firm in southern Germany have died, apparently drowning in a drainage system
BERLIN — Three staff at a waste disposal and recycling firm in southern Germany died on Tuesday apparently drowning in a drainage system, police mentioned.
The accident occurred on the firm’s premises within the Weyarn municipality, southeast of Munich, on Tuesday morning, Bavarian police mentioned in a press release.
One of many males was working in a water-filled drain, and two colleagues who had misplaced contact with him climbed in to assist him. There was no additional signal of life from the three.
Firefighters and rescuers had been known as to the scene. Divers had been unable to find the three lacking males instantly due to excessive water. Their our bodies had been recovered solely when the water degree was lowered by “technical means,” police mentioned.
The three males had been aged 20, 27 and 28 and lived within the area.
Police had been working to find out how the accident occurred.
