MANILA, Philippines—EJ Obiena snagged his second straight gold medal in 4 days after ruling the NetAachen Domspringen competitors in Germany on Wednesday.
Obiena bested 14 different rivals, breaching the 5.92m top for his second win in Germany for the reason that ISTAF Berlin on Monday.
Obiena outmatched America’s Sam Kendricks (5.87m) and France’s Thibaut Collet (5.82m), who completed with silver and bronze, respectively.
“Good night time, Aachen. Thanks,” wrote Obiena in his Instagram story.

The Filipino pole vaulter is making up for his weird end two weeks in the past, the place he positioned final within the Zurich leg of the Wanda Diamond League after his historic silver win within the Worlds.
Obiena will return at it when the Brussels leg of the Wanda Diamond League goes stay. The tourney will probably be part of his preparations for the upcoming video games in China for the Asian Video games.
