ComingSoon is debuting an unique The Worst Ones clip from the French Cannes Movie Competition award-winning dramedy. The movie is screening at Rendez-Vous with French Cinema in New York this week and can launch theatrically on March 24.

“Set within the suburbs of Boulogne-Sur-Mer in northern France, The Worst Ones captures a movie inside a movie because it follows the manufacturing of a characteristic whose director turns to the native Cité Picasso housing mission for casting,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “Desperate to seize performances of gritty authenticity, the director selects 4 working class youngsters to behave within the movie to the shock and consternation of the area people, who query the director’s selection of “the worst ones.” Because the director and crew audition, rehearse, movie, and work together with their hand-picked forged, jealousies are stoked, traces are crossed, and moral questions come up, with thought-provoking and at occasions darkly humorous outcomes.”
