BERLIN — Berlin police say two younger youngsters had been severely wounded in a knife assault Wednesday at a college within the south of Germany’s capital, and a 39-year-old suspect was detained.

The ladies, ages 7 and eight, had been flown to a hospital. Certainly one of them had life-threatening accidents, in keeping with a Berlin police assertion.

Mayor Kai Wegner stated that he was shocked by what he described as an “incomprehensible deed.”

“My ideas in these troublesome hours are with the 2 wounded women,” he stated. “I want them a speedy and good restoration.”

Wegner expressed his sympathy to the mother and father, academics and fellow pupils of the victims, and stated he was in shut contact with police concerning the assault.

Berlin’s state schooling division stated authorities have no indication that there was a political or spiritual motive behind the assault.
