RIGA, Latvia — Russia on Wednesday accused Ukraine of staging a drone assault supposed to hit the Kremlin residence and kill President Vladimir Putin, an electrical allegation that would create justification for Russia to escalate its struggle in Ukraine.
The alleged assassination try, which couldn’t be independently confirmed, was made in a press release shared by the Kremlin press service with Russian state information businesses on Wednesday afternoon. “Tonight, the Kyiv regime tried a drone strike on the Kremlin residence of the President of the Russian Federation. Two drones have been aimed on the Kremlin,” the assertion stated.
